Bryniau Barn holiday cottage is an award winning 17th Century Grade II listed barn conversion which has been lovingly restored with an abundance of original features.  Situated within Snowdonia National Park and overlooking the Conwy Valley.

An ideal location for a holiday in North Wales and a great base to explore the Beautiful Conwy Valley, the mountains of Snowdonia and North Wales’ coast.

Bryniau Barn holiday cottage is located just above the village of Llanbedr Y Cennin between the medieval walled town of Conwy with its magnificent castle and the picturesque village of Betws y Coed and Offers lovely views towards the Conwy Estuary, Pen y Gaer and north to Tal y Fan Mountain.  An ideal rural location providing peace and tranquillity, yet within easy reach of local amenities and many of North Wales’ attractions.

Perfect for those looking for a romantic retreat or to just relax, unwind and take a well earned break. If you are looking to explore the area, local attractions include Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens, Betws y Coed with its outdoor shops, cafes and waterfalls. Trefriw Wells Spa and Woollen Mill, Conwy Bird Sanctuary, the Great Orme, Conwy Water Gardens and Pancake House are all within easy reach.

This place is WONDERFUL! The photos really doesn’t give it the justice it deserves. It’s so peaceful and cosy. Belinda kindly put up a Christmas tree for us and it just was bliss. It really is full of character. It is perfect for the dogs and has all the amenities you will require. We will definitely be back!

The closest Pub, Ye Olde Bull Inn is in the village of Llanbedr Y Cennin, which is a short walk away Approx 10-15 mins.  Turn right out the gate, walk down the hill, turn right along the road and the pub will come in to view. There is also a country pub in Rowen which is a very quaint and picturesque village, this can be reached on local footpaths if you don’t want to drive, appropriate footwear is recommended.

The Local Butcher is in the village of Talybont and serves good local produce and also has a selection of vegetables, Jams, Pickles and sauces.  The Bull Serves” Myrions” pies, a must have after working up a hearty appetite out on the hills. To get to Talybont follow directions for Ye Olde Bull Inn, turn left down the hill and continue to the T junctions, you will see the butchers’ across the road to the left.  Turn right and you will come to the post office.

There is a Tesco supermarket in Conwy 6 miles away, the market town of Llanrwst which also has a variety of shops and is 9 miles from the cottage.

Outdoor activity

Snowdonia National Park is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts and offers an abundance of walking for all levels, climbing, Water Sports and scenic Mountain Bike trails.  There are plenty of local walks as well as exploring the mountains of Snowdonia. I provide some guide books and a map for you to peruse.  I am an outdoor instructors and can be on hand to offer advice and suggestions.
